Preparing for Summer
Ben over at College Startup had a post that got me thinking about my plans for summer. I entirely agree with his notion of not using the summer break from college to just go out and get an internship or get that quick summer job just for the cash. Summer is the perfect time to break out that project list you’ve got gathering dust in the top drawer and starting crossing stuff off.
I myself have at least 5 projects that I plan to get started and off my to-do list this summer, but I’m finding it troublesome to do the necessary preparation to be ready for the summer. I think that one big problem with some young entrepreneurs is that they lack the necessary preparation for their projects. Many people are eager to just jump in head first to their ideas and not having thought it all out in order to increase the likelihood of success.
So for those entrepreneurs who plan on using the summer as their launching pad for that next big project I highly recommend that you take the time, generally for me the two months prior to the summer, to think about it and do all the preliminary leg work so that when you have the time you can get it all rolling smoothly.
